Richmont Mines produces gold from its operations in Northeast Canada and has extensive experience in gold exploration, development and mining. Its strengths are in its ability to develop advanced exploration projects and to operate underground narrow vein gold mines. The Company was founded in 1981, and since 1991, has produced more than one million ounces of gold from its operations.

Richmont Mines currently has several properties which are located in the provinces of Quebec, Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador and has an option to acquire a 50% interest in the Golden Wonder Mine located in Colorado, USA. It is currently producing and exploring at the Beaufor Mine and Island Gold Mine, and continuing exploration at the Valentine Lake property.

Richmont Mines’ primary objective over the next five years is to become a profitable, intermediate North American producer of gold, operating three to four sites while building at least one million ounces of reserves.
